Annual Giving
Gifts
to Annual Giving are the lifeblood of the Sheridan Senior Center.
They make possible a wide variety of special uses and projects that
would otherwise go unfunded. Annual giving takes place primarily
with two annual campaigns called Holiday Spirit and Operation
Independence. It is the only fundraising program of the Senior
Center that reaches all friends, family, and employees on a yearly basis to
offer giving opportunities for direct support of the Center’s
programs. The Sheridan Senior Center Annual Giving focuses on
acquiring regular, annual contributions, thus creating a dependable and
very important source support for Sheridan County’s only senior center. Contributors
to the Annual Giving program may designate their gifts to any
area or program within the Center. Make a gift online using our secure server and help the Sheridan Senior Center
reach new heights.
Holiday SpiritThis
annual holiday campaign is typically sent to the community in November
as an opportunity for individuals to consider supporting the work of
the Center and more importantly the services that make a difference in
the lives of people in our community. Holiday Spirit is
one of the Center’s most recognized giving opportunities, with donors
published in the Center Stage Newsletter and on the Center’s website.
The annual campaign allows the Center to plan for the future and
build needed options into current programming. Make a gift online using our secure server to Holiday Spirit.
Operation Independence
Operation
Independence is an annual campaign sent to the community, typically the
end of June. This campaign, similar to Holiday Spirit seeks the
support of friends, family and employees to support the work of the Center
and provide services throughout Sheridan County. Through
Operation Independence, donors can make sure someone they know or love
is well cared for. For
example, through
these contributions elders can remain in their home for about 1/5 of
the cost of institutionalization or ride on the Mini Bus public
transportation or get much needed respite care. Operation
Independence truly celebrates the older adults of our communities, especially their gifts and talents. Please make a gift online using our secure server to Operation Independence.
