Sharing Professional or Civic Engagement Skills

In addition to the specific services needed to run our daily programs, the Center is always looking for ways to elevate the way we do our work - ensuring the best possible delivery of services, practicing thoughtful stewardship of our funds, and developing sensible plans for perpetuating our organization.

If you have professional skills to offer - maybe you are retired or maybe you simply have the desire or the time to give back to our community - we would love to talk with you about any of the following areas of work:

  • Serving on committees or joining our Board of Directors.
  • Developing and running new programs / initiatives / independent projects.
  • Assisting and offering information to our constituents’ related to financial, tax, legal, and insurance questions.  Please be aware, however, that the Senior Center does not act in any professional capacity as it relates to financial, tax, legal, or insurance advice.
  • Offering general office assistance / data entry / front desk help.
  • Lending general assistance to programs and operations after hours and on weekends.
  • Doing plumbing, carpentry, and every-day grounds maintenance.
  • Leading artistic and creative programs such as painting or writing.
More Information
Please know that this list of skills is not all-inclusive.  If you feel you have something to offer us, and you don’t see it here, let’s explore other avenues together.  Call Nancy McKenzie or Jane Perkins at 672-2240, or simply stop by to see us.
