NUTRITION
SERVICES
In Sheridan, noon
meals are served seven
days a week at the Senior Center and five days a week at
Heritage
Towers. In the outlying communities of the Tongue River Valley, Story,
and Big Horn, meals are served weekly. Home-Delivered Meals
are provided
to those who are unable to come to
the meal sites.

SHERIDAN MINI-BUS
The Senior Center
provides door to destination
transportation for the Sheridan County area, including Sheridan,
Dayton,
Big Horn, Story, and Banner. Public transportation is
provided seven
days a week. Vehicles are wheelchair accessible and drivers
are trained
to provide passenger assistance. People of all ages access
this service
and utilize it primarily due to the physical and cognitive limitations
or financial obstacles to car ownership. Learn

IN-HOME SERVICES
Personal care and
homemaking services
are provided in the home and are customized to meet the individual's
needs.
In-home services are designed to foster self sufficiency and prevent
inappropriate
or premature institutionalization. Services may
include: cooking,
cleaning, shopping, laundry, bathing, nail care,
dressing,
feeding, and respite. Chore services include yard work and
snow shoveling.

DAY BREAK
- ADULT DAY CARE
Day Break is not
only valuable for those
receiving services but for their loved ones. It offers a
break from
the important yet strenuous tasks of taking care of someone, while
providing
a safe place for adults who require supervision or help with activities
of daily living. Day Break plays a critical role in keeping
people
in their homes and out of long-term care facilities. The
program
presents many opportunities for social interaction and numerous leisure
and recreational activities.

VOLUNTEER
PROGRAM
This service
helps recruit and match people
to jobs throughout the community. Popular volunteer
assignments include
delivering meals, becoming a senior companion and helping with
secretarial

FAMILY CAREGIVER
PROGRAM
Information,
education, assistance, support
and respite services are provided to family members caring for people
60
years and older, older adults caring for children with developmental
disabilities
and grandparents who are the primary caretakers of grandchildren. Learn

A wide variety of
activities are planned
to stimulate the physical, intellectual, creative, and social pursuits
