I have no idea just who all helped get that wonderful program together; but I will never forget it. I still find it unreal that part of that was for me. I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.

The Annual Keystone Awards are the “Don’t Miss Event of the Year”.

This year’s 7th Annual Keystone Awards will be held on April 20, 2017 at the WYO Theater

Every year the Sheridan Senior Center celebrates and honors three individuals who have dedicated their lives to our community.  The Keystone Awards are a one of a kind celebration, modeled after the Kennedy Center Honors.  With unique entertainment, formal awards presentations, over $3,000 in raffles, delicious catering, and an after party, the Keystone Awards is the event to attend!

Event tickets can be purchased at the WYO Theater On-line Box Office starting in February.   Tickets are $75 and include catered reception, awards presentation, and awards show.   Tickets are available for students, veterans and registered Senior Center patrons for $35.

THIS YEAR'S HONOREES

Forrest (posthumously) & Jacomien Mars

Sheridan County is very fortunate to have had the support and contributions of Forrest E. and Jacomien Mars.  They have contributed to many, many, many projects to make Sheridan County great.  There is hardly anyone who can deny that Sheridan has been made even more beautiful and enhanced by Forrest and Jacomien.  A big focus for Forrest in his latter years, the Bradford Brinton would not have been possible without not only the financial, but also his personal service in bringing it to fruition.  We truly would not have the facilities we have in Sheridan County without this dedication.  Some of the vibrant projects in Sheridan County that Forrest was engaged in in include the WYO Theater, the Whitney Rink at the M&M’s Center, the WYO Rodeo, the Mars Soccer Cup and Sheridan College facilities.  Forrest took the time with almost all of the donations to mentor and guide the organizations involved.  He and Jacomien have been parishioners of St. Peters Church.   The breadth of the support Forrest and Jacomien have provided spans the globe, but they are none prouder than the gifts towards the beloved place they call home.
