Underground Miners Picnic, Pine Island

You don’t have to be a coal miner for this trip! Depart

Rock Creek Geology Hike & Camp

August 12-13, 2017

Difficulty - Strenuous. Meet in the Senior Center parking lot at 7:45 a.m. to depart at 8:00 a.m. Hike with an optional overnight. Leave No Trace outdoor ethics. 10 miles round-trip. Afternoon at the Polo Grounds

Enjoy the gentleman’s sport of polo against the backdrop of the beautiful Big Horn Mountains. Depart Heritage Towers at noon and the Senior Center at 12:15 p.m. Bus leaves the Polo Grounds at 4:00 p.m. Suggested contribution for transportation for individuals registered with the Senior Center is $10; $15 fee for those not registered. Sherd Lake Hike

Difficulty - Easy to moderate.
Meet at the Senior Center at 7:45 a.m., to carpool at 8:00 a.m. Bring your own lunch (lunch will not be provided). Good fishing lake so bring your own gear and valid license.

Thermopolis Hot Springs

August 30 - 31, 2017

Highlights include the dinosaur museum and dig site tour, swim in hot springs or pool, visit Legend Rock petroglyphs, and Cowboy Chocolate Factory in Meeteetse. Includes breakfast, hotel, entrance to museum and dig site, and transportation. Participants are responsible for their own lunch and dinner and if they choose to go to Star Plunge or Tepee Pool Cost is $150 per person, double occupancy. Advance signup and payment by Aug 16 required. Led by Jean Harm.

Fall Colors of New England, Quebec, and Montreal

Discover the fall colors in New England and French Canada on this 11-day seasonal tour featuring acclaimed rail excursions, grand hotel stays and brilliant autumn scenery. Sheridan Recreation District Sponsored Deadwood Day Trips

Trips to Deadwood begin April 20th. Schedules are available at the Senior Center or the Sheridan Rec. Dept. The Rec. Dept. is located at 1579 Thorne Rider Park. For reservations on a trip to Deadwood, call the Sheridan Rec. Dept. directly at 674-6421.
